Let's all learn together! Community-driven engineer training system
みんなで学ぼう!コミュニティドリブンなエンジニア育成の仕掛け
Summary:
要点:
The world is shifting from pre-defined career paths to individuals crafting their own careers based on interests and learning. This provides more freedom but also responsibility.
Platforms for online learning are proliferating, providing abundant resources. But self-study alone can be unmotivating. Learning in community is key.
The speaker has organized learning events using online platforms where participants earn points and rankings for badges and certifications. This gamification and community encourages persistence.
They facilitate sharing tips and cheering each other on. In-person meetups also foster connections. The community momentum produces impressive learning outcomes.
Rather than isolated self-study, we should consciously foster a culture of collaborative learning, pulling in others. Our peer motivation can uplift individuals and society.
(The first thing to do is to make sure that you have a good understanding of what you're doing and how you're doing it. The most important thing to remember is that you can't just take a few minutes to do a little bit of work and then go to the office and get a job.
(01:05) I've been working in human resources development for five years now, so overall, I've put the most effort into human resources development for the longest time. I'm thinking about how to use cutting-edge technology for the benefit of people in the world, but nowadays, with open source and cloud computing, you don't have to own IT resources, you can use them for a reasonable price with important charges. The company's products and services are also available in a wide range of languages, including English, French, German, French, Spanish, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Spanish, as well as in other languages. I think that the power of learning is a driver of innovation, so I'm wondering how we can have fun with this learning.
(The theme of today's talk is learning and community, but the first message I want to convey is, as the title says, let's all learn together. The first thing I want to say is that the message I want to convey is that we should all learn together, as I put it in the title of my talk. The most important thing to remember is that the company is not a one-stop shop for all things fashionable.
(03:12) I think it's not fun when you're doing something that's given to you, but you say it's not fun and you work hard to get to the next level. I think the trend will be for individuals to create their own original career by interacting with the market and creating their own value. I think this is a trend where individuals are creating their own value by interacting with the market. I think it's important to have a platform where you can learn anytime, anywhere.
(04:16) There are platforms that allow you to learn anytime, anywhere, and anyone can learn if they want to, for example, there's the interest-benefit and link-learning, and there's also the ability to train your own products with the vendors. The most important thing is that you have to learn, but I think it's a situation where you can improve your skills indefinitely if you're motivated enough. The most important thing to remember is that you can't just go out there and try to learn on your own, you have to learn by yourself. So, self-study is the most efficient way to learn, but at the same time, it's the most effective way to learn.
(05:22) So I think that's why I want to tell you that you should learn in a community. The event I mentioned earlier is a learning platform where the community can share their know-how and encourage each other to learn from the platform's content. The event will be a fun learning event where the community can share their know-how and encourage each other, and also learn from the platform's content by earning points for badges and certifications, and also by playing a little game.
(06:27) The first thing we do is to plan the event and get people together so that we can encourage each other in this community. We are going to hold a kick-off event at the beginning to introduce the rules of scoring and the contents you can learn at the kick-off event. The first thing I want to do is to make the most of the fact that I've been here for a long time and I've been able to see the people who have been here for a long time and I'm sure you'll be able to see the people who have been here for a long time. You're also very creative in collecting people.
(07:35) Once the fire is lit, this is where it gets really important, because after the event is over, people tend to get upset or leave the event. The first place winners will receive a gift and the second place winners will receive a gift. The first thing to do is to make a list of the points for each batch, each qualification and 50 points for each qualification, and then simply put the total points on the list.
(08:40) If you post this on the Slack chat after the daily or weekly management, suddenly they become motivated and suddenly start to take the next big punch and turn the tables around, and this has a synergistic effect, and everyone works really hard. The other thing is that it's a community, so we share things with each other. The first thing to do is to share with other participants what you're going to do if you're a beginner and you don't know what you're doing.
(09:44) Every time someone gets a certification, a report form will be set up and people will be able to put it in there and say they studied hard and got this certification. As a side note, we have devised a mechanism to automate this tallying process. Some services provide a plum dashboard for events like this, so we can use that, but there are some patterns that don't exist. The batch counting was done by scraping the profile screen of the batch and writing a script to count that part, which was then put into the database and visualized in the dashboard. And then I'd visualize it in the dashboard, and then I'd make a ranking, and then I'd put it in the database, and then I'd put it in the dashboard.
(10:48) If you want to report your qualifications, you can create a form and put it in there and it will be automatically posted to the staff. The last innovation was the silent group, which is basically self-study, but since there are so many people here, the actual participants can learn together by connecting with each other online. There were many people who said they did it because they were interested in the subject.
(11:53) We decided on a regular time and created a situation where anyone who came here could meet someone, and we also thought that we could have a spontaneous morning meeting among participants who didn't manage the operation. I'm glad I did it because it was a place where I could write and learn together, but it wasn't just that, even if we just joined in and chatted, we could learn and benefit from each other. I don't have the specific numbers right now, but when we held this event with a certain cloud vendor, the results of the event were that the certifications became global credits, which means that they were hired globally.
(12:57) It seems that it would be impossible for a Japanese company to come out of Japan, and many of the vendors came to me from the head porter and asked me what I was doing in Japan. I also want to share with you personally that when we do the ranking, there are people who get these incredible qualifications, but it's not just those people who get the badge or who just attend the kick-off event that are very important. The third point of the work is that the community itself is adjusting to the learning event through the MokuMoku body and sharing. (13:59) I think it's a good thing that after this event is over, we're going to be able to do more.
(13:59) The community itself has become more coordinated and deepened, and after the event was over, there was a lot more excitement, which led to the planning of new events, so it was a really good thing for the community. I mentioned something like YouTube earlier, but people are made to have it easy, so if you try to get certified on your own, you might get bored and not be able to come back afterwards. But if you do it every Friday, you can come back, you can keep going, and you can see how hard other people are working, and you can see how hard they are working, and you can get results on a level that you can't do alone.
(15:05) However, each one of us is only doing what we like to do, but by making it visible to everyone, it has a positive impact on the people around us, and when we notice it, it becomes a movement as a whole, and I think it starts from love and then digests into B. This is really the best part of a community. The last thing I want to say is that I want to tell you about this dream of learning with fun. The most important thing to remember is that the students are not dreaming of learning in a fun way, they are doing it voluntarily, but they are obliged to learn together. I think that's the difference between the top 1% of the elite in terms of willingness to learn and the bottom 1% of the elite.
(16:09) I think that the people who are participating in the event are learning without saying anything, but in order for society and Japan as a whole to become more energetic, people like you need to get involved and get people like you involved. I think it's very important for people like you to involve the people around you, so that they can get involved. Thank you very much for your attention. [applause] [music]
